This book takes you back to the origins of astrology --Star based visual astrology like the Egyptians used.Heliacal risings to time pharoanic reigns in Egypt. Why planets have exalted degrees --Why you can even find the exalted degrees for planets that aren't even discovered yet once you know the secret.Who'd of thunk?!!Sidereal/Visual astrology is pretty awesome!Highly recommend this book!Only thing that's a little tiring is that book was written before personal computers were invented because all calculations are done in detail with logarithms and sidereal math. It's amazing this stuff was done by hand back in the day.Excellent!

This interesting astrology book discusses how the precession of the equinoxes has caused the current astrological system to become misaligned with the stars. Whether or not you believe in aligning the zodiac to the seasons or the stars, it makes for an interesting, if not quirky, read. I skipped the calculation chapters, because I'm only an amateur, and went for the jist of the book.It explains some of the reasoning behind using the Sidereal Astrology Zodiac, and I can't disagree with it, except I have had it pointed out to me that the seasons are perhaps a better influence on a person's personality than the stars. So perhaps Fagan was being a bit pedantic for the sake of accuracy, but that's up to you to decide.
