Bowling for Columbine Reviews - Metacritic Bowling for Columbine is an unapologetic pro-gun control polemic infused with scathing humor and pointed attacks on everyone from the national media to corporate America. The film doesn't come close to providing any real answers to the problem of gun violence, but it does strike a chord when it turns its attention to the culture of fear that is Bowling for Columbine: Movie Review - SchoolWorkHelper Bowling for Columbine: Movie Review After viewing the film Bowling for Columbine by filmmaker Michael Moore many emotions ran through mind. At first I felt depressed and embarrassed that America could let the important issue of gun control get so chaotic.

Bowling for Columbine - review 3 / 5 stars 3 out of 5 stars. This documentary was clearly a journey of discovery for Moore himself, who makes no bones about not having the answers. In "Bowling for Columbine," however, he is not so sure of the answers as in the popular "Roger & Me," a film in which he knew who the bad guys were, and why. Here he asks questions he can't answer, such as why we as a nation seem so afraid, so in need of the reassurance of guns. Bowling for Columbine is a 2002 American documentary film written, produced, directed, and narrated by Michael Moore. The film explores what Moore suggests are the primary causes for the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 and other acts of violence with guns. All the people giving this movie a bad review, because it either didn't address the reasons for the Columbine killings or that it expressed Christian beliefs, are narrow-minded myopic people, who don't even have enough mental capacity to understand that the movie was not about the Columbine shooting. Bowling for Columbine would never be mistaken for even-handed, but it is at least a sincere attempt to find the source of this country's inability to curb gun violence and murder. `Bowling for Columbine,' is a very thought provoking film. Perhaps the first thought it provokes in any US resident is that the most sensible thing he or she could possibly do is move forthwith to Canada. Michael Moore's new documentary, ''Bowling for Columbine,'' rapturously greeted at the Cannes Film Festival in May, opens today in New York City and Los Angeles in an atmosphere of intense . Columbine truly is the best school on the planet. There are teachers that truly care about their students in and out of the classroom; our principal, even though he is new, works extremely hard to connect to all students, not just the ones in sports or with high grades. Michael “Stupid White Man” Moore’s Bowling for Columbine may be more Great White Hype than Great White Hope though it’s considerably less contemptuous than his Flint vs. General Motors exposé Roger & Me. The Columbine set includes two DVDs, with tons of Moore extras (including his ill-fated Oscar acceptance speech), commentaries, music videos, and God knows what else. [Ed sez: I finally caught Columbine and found it quite thought-provoking but a little meandering and confused.
